Winter Roof Terrace at the Botanist, Newcastle

If there's one thing I love doing in the Winter time it's snuggling up with some of my closest friends gossiping over a hot drink. This Winter The Botanist in Newcastle have made all of my festive dreams come true with their beautiful Nordic inspired Winter Roof Terrace.

The perfect place to visit after a long day Christmas shopping, somewhere romantic and cosy to snuggle up with your other half or the perfect place for a festive catch up with your best friends, my first visit to the Botanist's Winter Roof Terrace left me with fuzzy festive feelings that have me counting down the days till Santa arrives.

The Botanist's Roof Terrace has been transformed for the winter months with fairy lit huts, ski posters and twinkly lights in the trees. Apres ski has arrived in Newcastle and I'm so happy to have somewhere so beautiful to hide away in the evenings without needing to travel or injure myself on a ski slope.

Welcomed on to the roof terrace with a hot cup of spiced cider I managed to find a lovely little corner to hide away with some of my closest friends for a catch up.

With a sudden drop in the temperature in the North East over the last week or so I've had to dig my thickest Winter coat out but I didn't need to worry about getting cold on the roof terrace with plenty of heaters dotted about and loads of blankets scattered around to help ourselves to. I love sitting outdoors in the Winter time with my knees covered in a blanket - bliss!

It didn't matter that the evening was a little drizzly, the puddles on the terrace looked so beautiful with the reflections of the fairy lights and there were plenty of covered areas to protect us from the elements. I will definitely be enjoying a few mugs of mulled wine and spiced cider on the Botanist Roof Terrace over the coming months.

I couldn't resist helping myself to a mince pie as we cosied up for the evening, happily chatting about our favourite memories from my wedding day, Christmas plans and travel adventures. There really is nothing better in life than a great catchup with your best friends.

Let me know if you make it up to the Botanist Winter Roof Terrace - I'm sure I'll see you all there!

The Botanist kindly invited me for a sneaky look at their roof terrace and treated me to a mug of cider. They didn't ask me to write a blog but there was no way I was keeping this to myself!

  1. I LOVE The Botanist, but at winter it looks even prettier. We definitely have to go back because snuggling up with a mug of mulled wine, and catching up was loads of fun!

  2. I am insanely jealous of this post. I must admit, when I walked past today I did consider missing our lunch date and sneaking up here instead! Steve and I will most definitely be popping in for mulled wine in a couple of weeks when we're shopping x
