I am a little guilty of not always wearing some of my favourite clothes as much as I should. I find myself saving things for a "special occasion" and instead reaching for the same pair of jeans and jumper every weekend.
So one of my resolutions for 2015 is to have a good look through my wardrobe to see what I have and get some wear out of the clothes that I claim to love but hardly ever see the light of day.
This jacket is one of those items. I bought it in Primark in November. Before you say that November wasn't that long ago, I have to confess that I made this purchase in November 2013, and I've worn it once!
Yet I love it, it is absolutely stunning - I love the fit and the perfect tartan trim and detail on the sleeves. What's not to love?
This is one of those fantastic outfits that makes me feel really good about myself. It gives the illusion of being well put together yet in reality is something that's so easy to just throw on as you hurry out the door.
Not only do I feel great in this jacket but the one time I did wear it I had compliments from Simon all day.
I would love to know how you would style this jacket. Maybe it'll provide me with some more inspiration and ensure that it's allowed out of the wardrobe a little more often.
Look out 2015, this jacket is coming to get you!
Love this! Blazers are my absolute fave item for a smart, put together look. I would pair this with pointy heels, a nice v neck tee & turned up skinny jeans...oh & big sunglasses!! X
ReplyDeleteI love it when you find something you'd pretty much forgotten about, it's like having something new. It looks super stylish :)

You really do feel better about yourself when you make an effort so it is worth it - you look gorgeous and effortlessly stylish :D
ReplyDeleteIt feels like you've got a whole new thing which is always exciting. Love the elbow patches on this too, so cute.
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous and very cheery about it! Great photos too....new camera???
I don't think I'd wear it any differently to you, maybe a pair of flats?

I love this jacket, the elbow patches give it something extra too, and I love that tartan pattern. You look lovely! - Tasha
ReplyDeleteThat blazer is such a great colour.

I can see why you love the jacket it looks beautiful on. I have many items that sit in my wardrobe that I love but never touch. A while ago I decided that I would wear different clothes every day and that I would not wash anything till I was half way through. It meant that I wore loads of clothes that had been buried for ages Lucy x

ReplyDeleteI love this jacket - you're so right to keep it in your wardrobe. Let's look on the bright side, if you wore it all the time - would it feel as special? A classic grey blazer will always be the perfect go to! I would team this with a tartan shirt and a bit bow. Matchy prints but the clash between boy meets girl! xx
ReplyDeleteLove this! The jacket and the outfit as a whole. :)
ReplyDeleteThe tartan detail is lovely and just enough and you're right that it fits and looks just right.
I sometimes struggle to find blazers that fit right and hand right on the shoulders.

haha! I'm totally the same - I always keep my favourite clothes for "special ocassions" - I suppose it's a lot to do with working from home and not wanting the clothes to get ruined through too much washing?!! I'm going to make more effort to wear my awesome clothes this month! x
ReplyDeleteI love the tartan details! You should definitely wear it more often - really suits you!
