It's a well known fact that Simon and I are very partial to a spot of afternoon tea, so much so that at a recent wedding we attended one of his friends commented that he didn't recognise him without a cake in front of him!
So I was really thrilled when Rosie from Scobberlotch asked me if I'd like to do a guest post all about afternoon tea in Newcastle. There are some wonderful food blogs written in the North East and Scobberlotch is one of my favourite so I was really excited to get the chance to share my knowledge on all things tea and cake.
This is my first ever guest post so I'd love it if you could all head here for a little read and show your support to Scobberlotch.
Wonderful post this makes me want to get on a train and join you for afternoon tea they all look delicious Lucy x
ReplyDeleteI don't think I ever would have left London if Newcastle hadn't had a lovely selection of afternoon teas :p
DeleteYay! Love this. I really need to try Jesmond Dene House. xx
ReplyDeleteYou really do! I think we've had the afternoon tea there 3 times already!
DeleteOooh definitely going to try out some of these places...show me tea and cake and I'll be there! xx
ReplyDeleteNext time you have a special occasion make sure you book afternoon tea at Jesmond Dene House, worth every penny x
DeleteOoooh, I must try these. My husband is from Hexham so we always drive through Newcastle on our way there- I love the Baltic anyway so is love to try it. The prices seem v reasonable in comparison to London and Essex. Nice to meet you by the way, I popped over from Sophie's. If I could find the follow button on the phone I'd do it but not sure how, will try to remember to cone back when I'm in my computer! X
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww hello :) Yes the afternoon teas up here are far cheaper than London, and just as good quality, and sometimes (shoooosh don't tell anyone!) even tastier :D
DeleteI love afternoon tea I just need to find a gluten free one! x
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if you ring up a few places and ask you'll find some, we have quite a few up here that aren't necessarily advertised x
